Before moving north I used to live in West Roxbury. Even though it is in the city limits, it now has more limited service than many people much further out - including no weekend trains (because weekend service on the Needham line was cut a few years ago). It's not an either/or sort of thing. In particular, I think that once a representative has been persuaded to use his or her influence to try to stop some of these changes, it can be very helpful for them to be able to say that X thousand people have signed a petition as well. If people care, they can and should do both!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-293100068373105830.post-64459925576693789292015-11-20T10:42:55.719-08:002015-11-20T10:42:55.719-08:00consultants are people too!consultants are people too!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-293100068373105830.post-63744171893165589112015-11-20T09:49:28.114-08:002015-11-20T09:49:28.114-08:00Happy to help. The loss of this stop is an extreme hardship on working families in and around the Wakefield area. It makes me even more livid that there are NO savings/benefits by eliminating this stop, just negative impact.

Please take a moment to sign & share:
http://tinyurl.com/515WakefieldTomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09704155074189476100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-293100068373105830.post-41628300540970993492015-11-19T06:53:22.487-08:002015-11-19T06:53:22.487-08:00As a commuter from Swampscott who takes the train ...As a commuter from Swampscott who takes the train into Boston every day to get to work, I am BEYOND LIVID. Give'em a chance? I've basically had a 40-50% reduction in trains I can take to get to and from work, while I can stand on a platform and watch express trains serve Salem and beyond. Might I add that Swampscott is Zone 3 as is Salem, so I am paying for those trains I can no longer make use of? This schedule "improvement" is offensive to anyone who lives south of Salem. Having taken the commuter rail for the past fifteen years, I can say with great confidence that there are a significant amount of passengers who are being incredibly negatively impacted by this ridiculous schedule.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-293100068373105830.post-70700003601731816852015-11-18T20:45:51.324-08:002015-11-18T20:45:51.324-08:00Great post!
